The entire Lincoln community is
invited to join alumni and friends of Lincoln College for the fourth
annual Run, Ramble and Roll on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The 5K run and
one-mile walk is in conjunction with reunion weekend at the college
and provides an opportunity for folks to come together in support of
higher education while enjoying a healthy outdoor activity. The
event kicks off at Meyer-Evans Student Center, with registration
beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $25 per person, or $50 for a
family of four.

After the run and walk, the public is encouraged to remain on campus
as LC prepares to retire the Davidson-Sheffer Gymnasium, the site of
many exciting moments in Lincoln's sports-rich history. This gym is
being replaced by the new Lincoln Center. An alumni volleyball game
will begin at 1 p.m., followed by women's basketball at 2 p.m. and a
men's basketball game at 3 p.m. The events are free to spectators,
with a $5 T-shirt fee for alumni wishing to participate in the
games.
Lincoln College's reunion weekend will also include an
entire slate of activities to honor alumni and provide opportunities
to reminisce with old friends. The festivities kick off on Friday
evening with a wine and cheese reception in McKinstry Memorial
Library, followed by entertainment provided by a student
improvisation comedy group and an African percussion ensemble.
Events on Saturday include a meet and greet with current and former
LC coaches, and guided campus tours.
Members of graduating class years that end in "4" and "9" will be
honored this year, along with special recognition for alumni
celebrating their 25th and 50th class anniversaries.
