Donna Rogers

[April 27, 2009]  Donna Jean Harlow Rogers, 71, of Thomasboro, formerly of Lincoln, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at her home.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the service, and burial will be in New Union Cemetery at a later date.

She was born July 19, 1937, in Mount Vernon to Thurman and Dorothy E. Pigg Northcutt. She married O. Robert Harlow on June 5, 1955 in Mount Vernon, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2004. On May 14, 2005, she married her childhood sweetheart, Carl D. Rogers, in Thomasboro, where they resided until her death.

She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Debbie (and Dwight) Reed of Lincoln; two stepsons, Daniel (and Debbie) Rogers and David (and Sara) Rogers; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
