The Oasis turns 25 years old! We are
having our "25th Anniversary Bash" on May 9, beginning at 5 p.m., at
the Knights of Columbus in Lincoln. Tickets are available at the
senior center for a $25 donation. For more information, call
732-6132.

The Oasis,
Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is
open weekdays, except holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center
also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic
Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan
County senior citizens, regardless of membership. Friends of The
Oasis members receive a bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced
rates for classes and trips. For more information, call 732-6132 or

Breakfast bingo The Oasis and Vonderlieth Living
Center will sponsor the breakfast bingo on Thursday, April 30. Doors
open at 8:30 a.m., and breakfast will be served at 9. Reservations
are required. Suggested donation is $4.
Senior bowling
The Oasis is partnering with Logan Lanes to offer Senior Social
Bowl on Friday, May 1, beginning at 10 a.m. Free shoe rental. No-tap
bowling. Cost: $5.
Free blood pressure checks
The Oasis senior center offers FREE checking of blood pressure
every Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Oasis Belles
The Oasis Red Hat group, the Oasis Belles, will meet Tuesday, May
5, beginning at 11 a.m. After the meeting, lunch will be available
for purchase. Reservations are needed for lunch, and the deadline is
noon Monday.
Tuesday's lunch
There will be no Tuesday, May 5, lunch, due to the Mother's Day
tea.

Free hearing tests
Hearing screenings will be available Wednesday, May 6, from 10
a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Joyce Dearth, B.C.H.I.S., provides the service
from the Hearing Aid Center. Service is by appointment only. Please
call the senior center at 732-6132.
Card winners
The winners for weekday pinochle were Lucky Downey and Roy
Sabastian. The weekend pinochle winners were Ruth Aper and Harold
Goodman. The five-in-one winner was Maxine Hum.
