Lee's injury knocked him out of the game -- and possibly longer -- and threw off Orlando's rotation. Howard soared high and blocked a shot by Willie Green on the play in the first quarter. Howard's elbow came down on Lee, who was on the floor for a few minutes before going to the locker room for good with a towel to his head. His status for Game 6 was not immediately clear.
Perhaps the Sixers became too complacent.
Struggling to cover the Magic's 3-point shooters for one of the few times all series, the Sixers blew an early six-point lead. Lewis hit a pair of 3s and J.J. Redick added another to give Orlando a 21-15 lead late in the period.
The second quarter followed a similar pattern to the first four games -- a lot of lead changes, tough defense and inconsistent shooting. Orlando would regroup and end the half on an 8-2 run capped by a layup by Marcin Gortat on a near full-court pass from Alston to go ahead 45-39.
Notes: Howard's previous career playoff high was 22 rebounds against Toronto in the first round last year. ... Lewis said he has a horse in Saturday's Kentucky Derby after one of the favorites, Quality Road, was scratched. Lewis said he is co-owner of Join In The Dance with Todd Pletcher. ... Howard and Sixers center Samuel Dalembert got tangled up going for a rebound in the first quarter, and Howard was called for a technical foul on the play.
