Lincoln Christian College is
introducing a new associate degree program in pre-nursing for
students who want to continue to study for a bachelor's degree in
nursing at a college of nursing. Through a partnership with OSF
Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, top-performing
Lincoln Christian graduates may be guaranteed admission into the
Saint Francis BSN degree program.

Students accepted into the program will receive advisement from both
colleges. Up to five LCC students who complete the associate of
science in pre-nursing with a grade-point average of at least 2.67
out of 4.0 and meet all admission requirements will be admitted to
Saint Francis automatically.
"A priority of our faculty and staff is educating our students as
part of a lifelong learning process," LCC President Keith Ray said.
"All students take a common core of classes that build a solid
foundation in biblical studies, in the liberal arts and in
professional practice, for service inside and outside the church. We
are delighted that OSF Saint Francis Medical Center has partnered
with us to help equip students in the compassionate field of
nursing."
LCC's pre-nursing program not only meets the pre-nursing program
course requirements from most colleges of nursing, but also provides
courses in Bible and Christian worldview that teach respect for
others and compassion to help those who are hurting. Students will
learn the scientific and health information required in standard
pre-nursing programs, and graduates will be able to successfully
pursue a BSN degree at Saint Francis and other colleges of nursing.
