Agriculture, livestock futures mostly lower

[August 05, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery slid 7 cents to $5.4225 a bushel, September corn lost 3.5 cents to $3.545 a bushel and December oats slipped 0.25 cent to $2.25. Soybeans for November delivery inched up 1 cent to $10.315 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle slipped 0.60 cent to 89.72 cents a pound, and September feeder cattle dropped 1.40 cents to $1.0057 a pound. October lean hogs tumbled 1.93 cents to 50.12 cents a pound, and August pork bellies slid 2 cents to 59.75 cents a pound.
