These two young men steer their gilts across the arena for the judges' examination.

 

When it's time to leave the "stage," some "hams" just don't want to go. Volunteers help this young lady get her gilt out of the arena.

 

4-Hers come out of the gates into the arena to show their gilts.

A little "tickle" keeps the gilt moving along.

 

With so many animals, judging moves quickly. Winners grab their plaques and head out. Many will return in just a few minutes with yet another animal.

This young lady has her hands full with plaques, ribbons and a trophy, the reward for months of hard work.
