Lincoln Police Department reports for Thursday, Aug. 6
Accident on Aug. 1 at 8:24 p.m.; Woodlawn Road at Madigan Drive

Lewis said she is not from around here and was headed west on
Woodlawn Road, looking for the Dairy Queen. She ran through the red
light and hit Farlin.
Farlin said she was facing south in the left turn lane on Madigan
Drive and was preparing to travel east on Woodlawn Road. Farlin said
she had a green light turn arrow when she made her turn and that
Lewis ran through the red light and struck her vehicle.
A witness in the parking lot of Rusty's, 2810 Woodlawn Road, said
he saw Lewis run through the red light and hit Farlin.
Lewis appeared disoriented, groggy and had a low of alertness.
She was transported by Logan County Paramedics to Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital. An officer spoke with her at the hospital and
determined that she was under the influence of prescription
medications.
Lewis was cited for disobeying a traffic control device,
operating an uninsured motor vehicle, not having a driver's license
on person and driving under the influence.

Accident on Aug. 5 at 11:35 a.m.; North Logan Street at Pekin
Street
--Lea J. McEntire, 83-year-old female, Lincoln; 2004 Dodge
Intrepid SE
--Janie L. Lee, 26-year-old female, Lincoln; 2005 Pontiac Grand
Prix
Lee was northbound on North Logan Street and approaching Pekin
Street. Lee said McEntire pulled out and struck her vehicle.
McEntire said she was eastbound on Pekin Street and stopped at
the Logan Street stop sign. She said she thought it was clear and
started to cross the intersection.
McEntire struck Lee's vehicle on the driver's side door. The
impact caused Lee's vehicle to spin and come to rest in the
southbound lane.
A witness was southbound on Logan Street and approaching Pekin
Street. The witness said she observed McEntire fail to yield and
strike Lee.
McEntire was transported by Logan County Paramedics to Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
