Agriculture prices mostly lower, livestock mixed

[August 08, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for September delivery dropped 10.75 cents to $4.895 a bushel, while September corn lost 10.5 cents to $3.22 a bushel and December oats tumbled 8 cents to $2.11. Soybeans for November delivery added 8.5 cents to $10.385 a bushel.

Meanwhile, pork futures tumbled on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Beef prices were unchanged.

October live cattle futures were flat at 89.12 cents a pound, and September feeder cattle were also unchanged at $1.0097 a pound. October lean hogs tumbled 2.67 cents to 44.90 cents a pound, while August pork bellies tumbled 3 cents to 51.75 cents a pound.
