Restaurant"Darla exemplifies the Community Action promise," said the co-worker who nominated Buss for the honor. "She strives every day to provide a high level of service that improves quality of life for her clients. She is always willing to go above and beyond the everyday requirements of her job."

Buss was recognized by her peers as a person who is always available whenever there is a need in other programs at Community Action. As the contractor liaison, Buss works with area contractors who perform energy-saving measures on homes. While weatherization is her first responsibility, she also helps with agency services such as the food pantry, organizing and attending the Kiwanis Day Camp, and more.

Buss was presented with a plaque and a $50 gift card by Angela Stoltzenburg, executive director, and Steve Lobb, board chairman.
