Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[August 13, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were higher Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 5 cents to $4.9025 a bushel, while December corn advanced 5.25 cents to $3.3625 a bushel and November soybeans jumped 5.5 cents to $10.44 a bushel. Oats for December delivery gained 2 cents to $2.145 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle edged up 0.68 cent to 88.35 cents a pound; October feeder cattle rose 0.07 cent to $1.0017 a pound; October lean hogs lost 0.38 cent to 43.97 cents a pound; and August pork bellies fell 3 cents to 42.75 cents a pound.
