Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 19, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery lost 1.25 cents to $4.9825 a bushel, while December corn edged up 0.75 cent to $3.225 a bushel and oats for December delivery jumped 5 cents to $2.17 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery rose 4.5 cents to $9.59 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 1.03 cents to 88.85 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 1 cent to $1.0122 a pound; October lean hogs slipped 0.18 cent to 44.52 cents a pound; and August pork bellies rose 1.5 cents to 43.5 cents a pound.
