Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 20, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery fell 4.75 cents to $4.935 a bushel, while December corn jumped 5 cents to $3.275 a bushel and November soybeans lost 1 cent to $9.58 a bushel. Oats for December delivery were unchanged at $2.17 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.18 cent to 88.67 cents a pound; October feeder cattle slipped 0.02 cent to $1.012 a pound; October lean hogs gained 1.23 cents to 45.75 cents a pound; and February pork bellies inched up 0.05 cent to 79.1 cents a pound.
