[August 20, 2009]  NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) -- Police said a man who robbed a credit union earlier this week apologized to employees as he made his getaway.

Lt. Paul Gallagher told The Eagle-Tribune that the man who robbed the Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union of an undisclosed amount of cash Monday said "sorry" as he ran from the building.

The suspect was not wearing gloves, and police are hoping he left fingerprints on some of the $100 bills he dropped as he made his getaway. He did not show a weapon.
