Agriculture, livestock futures trade mixed

[August 21, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery shed 1 cent to $4.925 a bushel, and December corn lost 1.5 cents to $3.265 a bushel. November soybeans gained 1 cent to $9.59 a bushel, and oats for December delivery were unchanged at $2.17 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures were also mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle edged up 0.13 cent to 88.80 cents a pound; October feeder cattle shed 0.15 cent to $1.0105 a pound; October lean hogs added 0.85 cent to 46.60 cents a pound; and February pork bellies lost 0.55 cent to 78.55 cents a pound.
