Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[August 25, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery jumped 12 cents to $4.9925 a bushel, while December corn advanced 9.25 cents to $3.355 a bushel and December oats rose 6.75 cents to $2.2575 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery surged 34.5 cents to $10.075 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mixed and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle inched up 0.2 cent to 88.8 cents a pound; October feeder cattle slipped 0.17 cent to $1.0045 a pound; October lean hogs lost 1.03 cents to 46.82 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 2 cents to 79.1 cents a pound.
