Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, Aug. 24

Accident on Aug. 19 at 11:35 a.m.; Malerich Drive, 500 feet south of Woodlawn Road

--James M. Mason, 66-year-old male, Lincoln; 2007 Chevrolet C/K 1500 (1/2 ton)

--Mark D. Guzouskis, 51-year-old male, Lincoln; 2002 Cadillac DeVille

Mason said he was exiting a parking lot onto Malerich Drive and did not see Guzouskis traveling northbound on Malerich Drive. Mason pulled in front of Guzouskis, causing him to damage both vehicles.

Guzouskis said he was traveling northbound on Malerich Drive when Mason left a parking lot and pulled in front of him. Mason said he attempted to swerve to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful.

Mason was taken by Logan County Paramedics to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Mason was issued a citation.

Accident on Aug. 20 at 2:35 p.m.; Tremont Street at North Kickapoo Street

--Walter M. Miller, 48-year-old male, Lincoln; 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4

--Mary J. Cummings, 79-year-old female, Lincoln; 1997 Mercury Sable GS

Miller said he was eastbound on Tremont Street and was stopped at the stop sign. He pulled out from the sign and did not see Cummings traveling north on Kickapoo Street. Miller struck Cummings in the side, causing Cummings to hit a fire hydrant and stop sign before coming to rest in a yard.

Cummings said that Miller pulled away from the stop sign and she was not able to stop, colliding with Miller.

Both drivers had minor injuries and were taken for medical treatment. Cummings was taken by family members, while Miller drove himself.

Miller was issued a citation.

• Felton, Cameron M., 20-year-old male, Lincoln; arrested Aug. 21 at 628 S. Kickapoo St.; failure to appear -- Class A, illegal consumption, city ordinance; $2,500, 10 percent
