Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 27, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery climbed 8 cents to $5.0675 a bushel, while December corn slipped 0.5 cent to $3.2625 a bushel and December oats inched up 0.25 cent to $2.2975 a bushel. November soybeans delivery lost 2.5 cents to $9.965 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 1.38 cents to 87.37 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dipped 0.65 cent to 99.47 cents a pound; October lean hogs lost 1.25 cents to 47.05 cents a pound; and February pork bellies dropped 2 cents to 76.45 cents a pound.
