Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 28, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery fell 3.75 cents to $5.03 a bushel, while December corn gained 3 cents to $3.2925 a bushel and December oats inched up 0.25 cent to $2.30 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery slipped 0.5 cent to $9.96 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle edged up 0.2 cent to 87.57 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.5 cent to 98.97 cents a pound; October lean hogs rose 0.85 cents to 47.9 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 0.65 cent to 75.8 cents a pound.
