By Thursday afternoon, the final preparations were being made at the Logan County Airport as another Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival is upon us. Struck by the sheer poetry of the preparations, we could not help but put this initial glimpse of the festival into rhyme.

The day before balloon festival and the tents are all there.

You can see all the vendors preparing their fare.

Integrity Data is ready as you can see from afar.

The floor will be polished to play bumper car.

An accomplished test of skill and these prizes you might gain.

Then afterward quickly to the animal train.

The grass has been cut to make parking no chore.

So come to the balloon festival to see all this and more.
