[December 01, 2009]  Treats with Santa will be this Saturday, Dec. 5, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Join us for milk and cookies and enter our coloring contest while you wait your turn to tell the real Santa exactly what you want for Christmas. This is a free event for all participants!

A full-access membership will be offered to college students home for the holidays. You must be a full-time student with a valid college ID. This membership comes with unlimited usage and includes all aerobic and spin classes. Passes are valid through Jan. 17. Cost will be $50 in district and $60 out of district.

Lincoln Park District also offers gift certificates. Certificates are available in any dollar amount and may be applied toward membership costs or any park district program or function.

Don't forget our Holiday Home Contest. If you have decorated the outside of your home for Christmas, we encourage you to enter our contest. You may register at the front office at the park district or register online through www.lincolnparkdistrict.com. Go to the "Contact Us" page, fill out the contact information and be sure to provide your address and a brief description. We will be judging your decorations based on originality, complexity and overall theme. Registrations must be in by 4 p.m. on Dec. 17. The judging will be done by Dec. 18. There is no charge to participate in our contest. We plan to publish the winners on our Web site and our local papers as well. This will allow others in the community a "heads-up" on where the best displays are.
