Agriculture futures trade mostly lower on the CBOT

[December 02, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for March delivery lost 4.75 cents to $5.84 a bushel, while March corn fell 3 cents to $4.145 a bushel and oats for March delivery were flat at $2.675 a bushel. January soybeans edged down a penny to $10.595 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle shed 0.9 cent to 84.82 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.52 cent to 93.47 cents a pound; December lean hogs gained 0.62 cent to 59.22 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.45 cents to 84.6 cents a pound.
