Agriculture futures fall on CBOT; livestock climbs

[December 05, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery dropped 13.5 cents to $5.58 a bushel, while March corn slid 12.25 cents to $3.885 a bushel and oats for March delivery fell 6 cents to $2.57 a bushel. January soybeans lost 4 cents to $10.43 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle added 0.3 cent to 83.2 cents a pound; January feeder cattle edged up 0.25 cent to 93.35 cents a pound; February lean hogs rose 1.45 cents to 66.75 cents a pound; and February pork bellies climbed 1.73 cents to 82.8 cents a pound.
