Legal issues, tax updates and new technology were just a few of the
subjects discussed. Real estate agents need to stay abreast of new
laws and new technology, and attending the institute is an important
learning experience. The institute is conducted each year by the
Illinois Association of Realtors for the benefit of its 50,000
members. Attendance is voluntary, and successful completion of the
three undergraduate courses leads to the professional designation of
GRI, indicating a graduate of the Graduate Realtors Institute of
Illinois. Each of the courses covers different aspects of the real
estate industry and goes into more detail than is required by the
state of Illinois' real estate licensing law. Graduate courses cover
specialized areas of the real estate industry.
Institute courses include advanced material about such subjects
as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing,
			auctions, license law, and escrow.
Institute faculty members come from across the nation. Each is a
recognized authority in the practice of real estate, financing and
law, as well as being an experienced instructor.
