[December 11, 2009]  Sunney Art Center, owned by Kit Sunderland, will have a fall student art show Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with their "Under 18 Show and Sale." The center is at 205 S. Sangamon St. in Lincoln.

Students who participated in the fall art classes offered by Sunney Art Center will display a sampling of their work, including polymer clay, pencil, charcoal and ink drawings, and watercolor and acrylic paintings.

The Under 18 Show and Sale will feature work from artists under the age of 18. These pieces include drawings, polymer clay sculptures, paintings and jewelry and will be for sale.

Refreshments will be served.

This fall was the first semester of art classes and workshops offered at the Sunney Art Center. Sunderland led stop-motion animation, art introduction, intermediate art and advanced art classes. There were also workshops in tie-dye, watercolor painting (for adults) and polymer clay sculpture. More workshops and weekly classes will be offered this spring, and information about those will be available at the event Saturday.

All art lovers are invited.
