Agriculture, livestock futures mostly higher

[December 12, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were higher Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery gained 0.5 cent to $5.375 a bushel; March corn jumped 11.5 cents to $4.045 a bushel; March oats rose 3 cents to $2.59 a bushel; and January soybeans added 8 cents to $10.35 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures were mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle jumped 1.1 cents to 83.27 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.86 cent to 91.57 cents a pound; February lean hogs were unchanged at 65.42 cents a pound; and February pork bellies gained 1.05 cents to 86.10 cents a pound.
