Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[December 16, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery slid 6.75 cents to $5.3675 a bushel, while March corn fell 1 cent to $4.075 a bushel and oats for March delivery gained 1.25 cents to $2.60 a bushel. January soybeans were unchanged at $10.55 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle edged up 0.97 cent to 84.92 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 1.12 cents to 93.02 cents a pound; February lean hogs added 1.55 cents to 67.42 cents a pound; and February pork bellies climbed 2.5 cents to 91.6 cents a pound.
