Parrot Heads, mark your
calendars. On March 13 at 6 p.m., doors are opening at the Knights
of Columbus for the fourth annual Cheeseburger in Paradise event to
raise money for local senior rides and senior meals.

While the program receives a grant from the Area Agency on Aging of
Lincolnland and local support from the Logan County senior tax and
United Way, the program must find additional revenues annually to
operate the program. As a matter of fact, the major funding sources
require a show of local support through additional funding. All
proceeds of this event are going to the Logan County and Mason
County Senior Nutrition and Transportation programs that have been
coordinated by Community Action for over 30 years.
The themed
event on March 13 will feature Buffet-inspired live musical
entertainment by last year's entertainer, "J, The World's Most
Dangerous One Man Band," along with a comedic performance from Mason
City Limits Comedy Club. The event will feature as many
cheeseburgers as you can eat, raffles, live auctions and more.
"We look forward to seeing everyone out having a great time as we
support our local seniors," said Angela Stoltzenburg, executive
director. "We've sold out the past three years, so we encourage
people to contact us right away for tickets." Tickets go on sale
Jan. 4 for $25 each.

Businesses, organizations and private individuals also have an
opportunity to support the seniors through table sponsorships,
raffle donations and the purchase of VIP table packages.
