Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[December 17, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery inched up 0.5 cent to $5.3725 a bushel, while March corn rose 2.75 cents to $4.1025 a bushel and oats for March delivery added 2.25 cents to $2.6225 a bushel. January soybeans rose 4.5 cents to $10.595 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slipped 0.02 cent to 84.9 cents a pound; January feeder cattle fell 0.17 cent to 92.85 cents a pound; February lean hogs lost 0.6 cent to 66.82 cents a pound; and February pork bellies shed 1.05 cents to 90.55 cents a pound.
