Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[December 18, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery dropped 18.75 cents to $5.185 a bushel, while March corn slid 13.25 cents to $3.97 a bushel and oats for March delivery edged down 3.25 cents to $2.59 a bushel. January soybeans plummeted 37.5 cents to $10.22 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures were mixed and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle lost 0.35 cent to 84.55 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 1.12 cents to 93.97 cents a pound; February lean hogs shed 1.27 cents to 65.55 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 2.55 cents to 88 cents a pound.
