Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[December 23, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 3.5 cents to $5.23 a bushel, while March corn lost 1.25 cents to $3.9875 a bushel and oats for March delivery edged up 0.5 cent to $2.59 a bushel. January soybeans dropped 10 cents to $9.91 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded lower and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 0.9 cent to 84.67 cents a pound; January feeder cattle slipped 0.13 cent to 94.42 cents a pound; February lean hogs gained 0.53 cent to 64.75 cents a pound; and February pork bellies added 1.2 cents to 88.1 cents a pound.
