Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[December 29, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery jumped 26.25 cents to $5.5075 a bushel, while March corn rose 7.5 cents to $4.16 a bushel and oats for March delivery added 5 cents to $2.65 a bushel. January soybeans climbed 29.5 cents to $10.29 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle edged up 0.62 cent to 85.37 cents a pound; January feeder cattle gained 0.9 cent to 95.52 cents a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.9 cent to 64.7 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.15 cents to 86.5 cents a pound.
