[February 02, 2009]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Jan. 31: 

HardwareLANE RECLINERS 

Lane Home Furnishings Inc. is recalling Glider Recliners sold nationwide from June 2008 to October 2008. The base of the chair, if installed backwards, can allow the chair to tip over backwards, posing a fall hazard. 

The recall involves Lane's Glider Recliners, model numbers 2056 and 2085. Affected recliners have a manufacture date between June 2008 and October 2008. The model number, manufacture date and 9-digit serial number can be located beneath the footrest of the recliner.

TV WALL MOUNTS 

Milestone AV Technologies is recalling LCD television wall mounts sold at Best Buy stores nationwide from June 2007 to December 2008. The wall mount can crack when used with televisions 26 inches and larger or with televisions that include a DVD player. The television can then fall from the wall mount and pose a serious risk of injury to consumers. 

These wall mounts are used with flat screen LCD televisions. The recalled wall mounts are INIT models NT-TVM103 and NT-TVM104. The model numbers can be found on the UL sticker on the television interface.

JESUS FISH BEADS 

Discount School Supply is recalling Jesus Fish Beads sold  nationwide from August 2006 to December 2008. Surface paint on the green fish can contain excessive levels of lead. 

The recalled Jesus fish beads were sold in packages of 100 in five assorted colors (red, black, purple, light blue and green) with the word "Jesus" printed on each. The beads measure about 2 inches in length each.

LIP GLOSS KEYCHAINS 

Markwins Beauty Products is recalling Lip Gloss Keychains sold nationwide during October 2008. The metal clasp attached to the keychain contains high levels of lead. 

This recall involves lip gloss with a metal clasp keychain attached to the cap by a chain. Markings on the lip gloss container read, "Lip Gloss," "Brillant á lèvres," "Fantasy Makers®" and "from the creators of Wet n Wild."

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL MANICURE KITS 

Fantas-Eyes Inc. is recalling High School Musical Manicure Kits sold nationwide from September 2008 to November 2008. The lettering "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" with glitter on the pouch used with the manicure kit contains excess levels of lead. 

This recall involves the pouch that contains the "High School Musical" manicure kit. The 7-1/2 inch by 4-3/4 inch plastic see-through pouch has a pink zipper with "High School Musical" printed in yellow gold with glitter and "Sharpay" printed in dark red on one side.

CHILDREN'S CANOPIES 

The Land of Nod is recalling Home Sweet Playhome Canopies sold in Illinois and Washington state from September 2003 to October 2005. A child's head could get entrapped in the canopy's window openings, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards. 

The recalled canopies involve the "Home Sweet Playhome" model made of 100% cotton gingham fabric draped from a bamboo hoop which is suspended from the ceiling to create a cylindrical play space measuring 36 inches wide and 9 feet tall. The canopies have an open bottom, a "door" and three multi-paned "windows." They were sold in blue and pink. "The Land of Nod" is printed on a woven label on the canopy.

WARMING GLOVES 

Outdoor Research Inc. is recalling  "Primovolta" and "Primavolta" Warming Gloves sold nationwide from September 2008 to January 2009. The glove's electric heating pad can short circuit and overheat, posing a burn hazard. 

The recalled winter gloves are black-colored and have a battery-powered heating element. The gloves included in the recall are style number 77000 (men's) in sizes S, M, L, XL, and style number 77010 (women's) in sizes S, M, L. The product name is printed on the inside cuff of the left glove.

ICE CLEATS

L.L. Bean Inc. is recalling Stabilicer Lite Cleats sold by L.L. Bean nationwide from August 2008 to November 2008. The elastic harness system attaching the cleats to footwear can detach, posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves Stabilicers Lite cleats with model number BNX9. The cleats are worn over footwear for traction in winter walking conditions. The recalled cleats were sold in blue, orange, and pink. The name Stabilicers Lite appears in raised letters on the underside of the harness.

AROMATHERAPY KITS 

JAKKS Pacific Inc. is recalling Spa Factory™ Aromatherapy Fountain & Bath Benefits Kits sold nationwide from August 2008 to January 2009. Pressure from the buildup of carbon dioxide in the jars of Bath Bombs/Balls or Bath Fizzies can cause the caps on the jars to blow off, posing explosion and projectile hazards. The mixtures also can contain citric acid, which can get into the eyes during an explosion, posing a risk of eye irritation. 

This recall involves the purple caps on jars in the Spa Factory™ Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain and the Bath Benefits™ Kit toys. The jars are used to make Bath Bombs/Balls and Bath Fizzies. The following models are included in this recall. The item number is located on the bottom of the product's packaging.

TOY CONSTRUCTION PLAY SETS 

DDI Inc. is recalling Construction Play Sets sold nationwide from October 2008 to December 2008. Surface paint on the play sets can contain lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

The recall involves the 136-piece Mega Construction Play Set (item# 911346) and includes various construction equipment, vehicles, buildings and roads. The play sets are packaged in a black and yellow box with the word "Builder" printed in the upper left hand corner of the package.

NECKLACES 

Spencer Gifts LLC is recalling Skull-And-Crossbones Necklaces sold nationwide from November 2006 to December 2008. The skull and metal clasp of the necklace contain high levels of lead. 

This recall involves a necklace with a "skull-and-crossbones" symbol and a metal clasp. The skull has eleven pieces of rhinestones on its forehead and one rhinestone on both ends of the crossbones.
