[February 04, 2009]  "The Road to Healing" will be the topic when the DivorceCare seminar and support group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Jefferson Street Christian Church, 1700 N. Jefferson St.

DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring experts on divorce and recovery topics such as coping with depression and anger, financial survival, and single parenting. Each session also includes small group discussions of the material presented during the video.

Second in a 12-week series, "The Road to Healing" looks at the losses associated with divorce, the importance of grieving and some initial steps to take to begin the healing process. The video features H. Norman Wright, America's best-known Christian counselor and author of more than 70 books, including "Recovering from the Losses of Life" and "Crisis Counseling." Wright also is a research professor at Talbot Graduate School of Theology and serves on the executive board of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

DivorceCare will meet on Tuesdays through April 21. Participants may join the group at any time. Preregistration is not required. Cost of the DivorceCare workbook is $12. Child care is available.
