Police chief releases Super Bowl directed patrols stats

[February 05, 2009]  The Lincoln Police Department participated in the "You Drink & Drive, You Lose" Super Bowl weekend enforcement patrols. These patrols targeted impaired drivers. Lincoln police officers made 18 arrests and issued 20 written warnings.

HardwareOne arrest was made for driving under the influence and one for illegal transportation of alcohol.

Citations issued for other offenses:

  • Failure to wear seat belt, 5

  • Speeding, 6

  • Driving while license suspended, 1

  • Disobeyed stop sign, 2

  • No insurance, 1

  • Improper display of registration, 1
