Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[February 06, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery climbed 19.5 cents to $5.6175 a bushel; March corn jumped 13 cents to $3.7125 a bushel; and March oats added 6 cents to $1.93 a bushel. March soybeans leaped 30.5 cents to $9.80 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle traded up 0.55 cent to 86.50 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle rose 0.70 cent to 94.12 cents a pound. February lean hogs lost 0.72 cent to 56.50 cents a pound, and February pork bellies slid 1.8 cents to 79 cents a pound.
