Lincoln Police Department reports for Friday, Feb. 6

Vehicle damage on Feb. 2 at 6:53 p.m.; Interstate 55 Business Loop, 500 feet north of Kankakee Street

--Thomas R. Larson, male, 54, of Lincoln; 1984 International Harvester straight truck

Larson was driving southbound on Lincoln Parkway. As he drove underneath the railway bridge north of Kankakee Street, part of the vehicle struck the underside of the bridge. There was no damage to the bridge, but the vehicle did receive damage. The truck had an attached tree spade, which struck the bridge. Larson’s vehicle was driven from the scene.

A witness driving behind Larson when the collision took place said that the tree spade attached to the rear of the vehicle struck the railway bridge, causing the spade to fall into the roadway.

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Friday, Feb. 6

  • Millett, Keith P., 28-year-old male, Latham; arrested Feb. 5 at the Macon-Logan County line; failure to appear -- knowingly damaging property less than $300; $2,000 bond or 10 percent

  • Schaub, Randy E., 47-year-old male, Lincoln; arrested Feb. 5 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield; Class 3 -- notification/failure to register as a sex offender; $5,000 bond or 10 percent
