Severe weather potential

Send a link to a friend

[February 09, 2009]  Two storm systems will affect central Illinois during the workweek. The first one will spread rain and scattered thunderstorms across the area from late Monday afternoon into Monday night. Windy conditions will accompany these storms, but no organized severe weather threat is expected.

A stronger system will then move through late Tuesday night through midday Wednesday. A greater threat for severe storms will exist with these storms, with wind damage and isolated tornadoes possible.

After a break Thursday and Friday, the next chance for precipitation will be around Saturday, with rain and snow possible.
