Handling anger is divorce group's topic

[February 11, 2009]  The DivorceCare seminar and support group will discover healthy ways to handle anger when it meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Jefferson Street Christian Church, 1700 N. Jefferson.

DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring experts on divorce and recovery topics such as coping with depression and loneliness, financial survival, and single parenting. Each session also includes a group discussion.

In the video "Facing My Anger," psychotherapist Les Carter explores eight sources of anger and offers practical suggestions on how to deal with it. Co-author of "The Anger Workbook," Carter is known as "America's Anger Expert"; he conducts anger management workshops around the country. His most recent book is "Grace and Divorce."

DivorceCare will meet on Tuesdays through April 21. Participants may join the group at any time during the 12-week series. Preregistration is not required. Cost of the DivorceCare workbook is $12. Child care is available.
