Election Information | Meet the Candidates

Letters of Support

Lincoln Daily News welcomes letters of appreciation, information and opinion on matters pertaining to the community.

Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Fellow Citizens:

Voters in our 4th Ward have an opportunity, on Tuesday, Feb. 24, to nominate an excellent candidate to serve your ward and your city. The nomination will be the same as an election, since there are, apparently, no other candidates for the spring election.

Nathan Turner, the young man who ran so well in the last county board race, brings us an exceptional opportunity to vote for a candidate with significant fiscal abilities. Nathan Turner is an important part of the Caterpillar team in his role in economic forecasting as an inventory management analyst. What a great opportunity we have in these uncertain times: an opportunity to vote for Nathan Turner, whose expertise can be of real value to our city of Lincoln.

I ask 4th Warders to vote for NATHAN TURNER for alderman on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Bill Gossett
