[February 16, 2009]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Feb. 14: 

HALOGEN LAMPS 

Catalina Lighting Inc. is recalling Halogen Clamp Lamps sold at Staples stores nationwide from July 2008 to October 2008. The UV glass lens on the lamp can crack, exposing the halogen bulb, posing a fire and burn hazard. 

The halogen clamp lamps, also known as architect's lamp, have 150 watt halogen bulb, an articulating arm, and a clamp desk lamp that adjusts up, down and swivels. Only lamps with model number 13456-US and lot numbers C06081581V185, C06081582V185 and C06081584V185 are included in the recall.

ATVS 

KTM North America Inc. is recalling All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) sold nationwide from August 2007 to January 2009. The rear brake caliper support can crack and the front brake operation can experience a loss of pressure, posing a risk of the rider losing braking and steering control and suffering injuries or death.

GOLFER'S BILLIARD GAMES 

Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy Due are recalling Golfer's Billiard Games sold nationwide from May 2008 to December 2008. Surface paints on the golf balls can contain excess levels of lead. 

The recalled golfer's billiard game includes 15 golf balls (with exterior paint and design to resemble a billiard ball) and six putting cups. The recall involves the Acuity Golfer's Billiard Game, Style #AC302, and the Clubhouse Golfer's Billiard Game, Style #302. The name and style number are located on the product's packaging. 

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and return it to the store where purchased for a full refund.

CAMP STOVES 

Dick's Sporting Goods is recalling "Field & Stream" Dual Burner Camp Stoves sold at Dick's Sporting Goods stores nationwide from January 2008 to October 2008. Gas could flow at a rate that would produce higher than expected flames. Rainwater in the burners can also prevent proper ignition and allow gas to build-up and ignite unexpectedly. These conditions pose burn hazards. 

This recall involves the "Field & Stream" dual burner camp stove, which is a propane-fueled portable stove. The style number (#CEH00475) can be located on the product's packaging. The "Field & Stream" logo is on the back panel of the stove behind the burners.

BICYCLE FORKS 

Marzocchi is recalling Bicycle Forks sold nationwide from July 2007 to September 2007. The suspension system on bikes with the recalled forks could become completely compressed and fail to return to its original position after a forceful landing. This can cause riders to lose control of the bicycle and crash. The forks can also expand forcefully if repair is attempted by the consumer, posing a risk of serious injury. 

The recalled bicycle forks were sold for installation on mountain bikes. The recall involves certain 2008 model year 888RC3 and 888RC3WC suspensions with date codes beginning with T07D07, T07D08 and T07D09. The forks are white or black with red and black artwork on the legs. 

Consumers should return the bicycles forks to the dealer where purchased for a free repair.

OUTDOOR STOVES 

Jetboil Inc. is recalling Personal Cooking Systems and Group Cooking Systems sold nationwide from July 2008 to November 2008. A tight valve attached to the stove's fuel source can allow gas to leak, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves personal and group cooking stoves often used during outdoor camping. The recalled models include: Personal Cooking Systems in black (PBL075-BLK-(PCS) and camo (PBL075-CAMO-(PCS), Backcountry Gourmet Set (BDLFRY), Personal Cooking System with Companion Cup (BDL001), Personal Cooking System with Pot Support & Stabilizer (BDL002), Personal Cooking System with Coffee Press (BDL003), and Personal Cooking System Java Kit (BDLJAVA) and Group Cooking System (GCS150).

HOODED SWEATSHIRTS 

Hill Sportswear Inc. is recalling Kid Pullover Hood Sweatshirt and Kid Zipper Sweatshirt with Hood sold in California and Texas from August 1999 to December 2008. The sweatshirts have drawstrings through the hood. The drawstrings should be removed immediately since they can become caught on objects and strangle a child.  

The recall includes the Kid Pullover Hood and Kid Zipper with Hood. The Kid Pullover Hood has a flat style drawstring at the neck, one middle front pocket, and fleece inside lining. Top sewn in label reads "HILL/ Made in USA." The hooded Zipper children's sweatshirt has a rounded style drawstring at the neck, two front pockets, and fleece inside lining. Top sewn in label reads "HILL/ Made in USA". 

Parents are urged to immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts or return the garment to either the place of purchase or to Hill Sportswear for a full refund.

Computer Repair

Nordica USA  is recalling XBi ALU Skis sold nationwide from August 2006 to December 2008. The binding plates could crack or break, causing the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.

DISNEY TOY TOOL SETS 

Disney Store USA LLC is recalling Playhouse Disney "Handy Manny" Toy Tool Sets sold nationwide from October 2007 to January 2009. The tools contain eyes that can separate, posing a choking hazard. 

The recalled Playhouse Disney "Handy Manny" Tool Set is a plastic, eight-piece toy set that includes a tool box, hammer, saw, pliers, wrench, tape measure and two screwdrivers. The name "Handy Manny" is embossed on one side of the tool box. The UPC (#405144100614 or #422147400633) can be located on the product's packaging. 

Consumers should return the toy to any Disney Store for a full refund.
