Agriculture futures mostly drop on the CBOT

[February 19, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly dropped Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 4.75 cents to $5.1075 a bushel, while March corn was unchanged at $3.4925 a bushel. March oats shed 4.5 cents to $1.715 a bushel, and March soybeans tumbled 15.5 cents to $8.875 a bushel.

Beef futures slid, while pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle lost 1.30 cents to 82.92 cents a pound, and March feeder cattle shed 2.60 cents to 89.02 cents a pound. April lean hogs slipped 0.25 cent to 60.80 cents a pound, but March pork bellies edged up 0.05 cent to 78.85 cents a pound.
