Agriculture futures drop on the CBOT

[February 21, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures dropped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slipped 0.25 cent to $5.1925 a bushel, while March corn shed 3 cents to $3.5025 a bushel. March oats slid 3 cents to $1.685 a bushel, and March soybeans sank 22 cents to $8.625 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle traded down 1.33 cents to 83.42 cents a pound, and March feeder cattle lost 2.25 cents to 88.37 cents a pound. April lean hogs dropped 2.62 cents to 57.95 cents a pound, while March pork bellies tumbled 3 cents to 73.25 cents a pound.
