[February 23, 2009]  The following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Feb. 21: 

ACTIVITY CENTERS 

Evenflo Co. is recalling Children's Activity Centers sold nationwide from October 2006 to February 2009. When used as an activity table, the cap on one end of the product can loosen and fall off, posing a fall hazard. 

The recall involves Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun stationary activity centers made between October 2006 and December 2008. The model number is 6231711. Stage 3 position involves converting the product into an activity table. 

Consumers should contact Evenflo at (800) 233-5921 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to receive a free replacement end cap or visit safety.evenflo.com. More info at www.recalls.org.

TRUE VALUE WHEELBARROWS 

True Value Co. is recalling Green Thumb Twin Wheelbarrows sold at True Value stores nationwide from September 2008 to October 2008. Over-inflating the tire could cause the wheel's plastic rim to break, posing an injury to the user. 

The recalled wheelbarrow has tan plastic wheel rims, a black plastic tray and steel handles and axle. 

Consumers should return the wheelbarrows to any True Value store for a full refund.

COMPOUND BOWS 

BowTech Archery is recalling "The General" Compound Bows sold nationwide from September 2007 to July 2008. The ends of the bow's limbs can unexpectedly break during use and send fragments of the bow in the direction of the user or bystanders, posing a risk of injury. 

This recall involves the "The General" compound bows hunting and target models with draw weights of 60 and 70 pounds that do not have a collet in the limb. The bows measure about 31 inches long and have draw lengths of 26-30 inches. The bows have laminated wood grips engraved with the word "BowTech" and a label with "The General" on the center pivot point of the bottom limb. 

Consumers should contact their dealer to schedule a free repair.

OLD NAVY STUFFED TOYS 

Old Navy LLC is recalling Stuffed Animal and Creature Toys sold nationwide from July 2008 to February 2009. The stuffed toys have two button eyes that could detach from the toy, posing a choking hazard. 

The stuffed animal and creature toys are made out of cotton and have plastic button eyes. They come in a variety of styles, such as a rabbit, penguin and reindeer. A complete list of the recalled toys and style numbers can be found at www.recalls.org. The style number is located on a white label sewn into the side seam of the toy. 

Consumers should return the toy to any Old Navy store for a full refund..
