Agriculture futures mostly drop on the CBOT

[February 27, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly dropped Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery lost 10.75 cents to $5.14 a bushel, and March corn shed 1.75 cents to $3.62 a bushel. May oats climbed 3.5 cents to $1.945 a bushel, but March soybeans traded down 8.75 cents to $8.6925 a bushel.

Beef futures rose while pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle gained 0.97 cent to 85.82 cents a pound, while April feeder cattle added 2.28 cents to 93.85 cents a pound. April lean hogs lost 0.13 cent to 58.97 cents a pound, while May pork bellies dropped 1.2 cents to 77.75 cents a pound.
