"We are very grateful and proud of this national recognition," said
Mark Hilliard, administrator of the health department. "There are
nearly 9,000 Medicare-certified home health agencies in the nation.
Being listed among the nation's best of this group is a tremendous
honor for our staff." Outcome Concept Systems determined the top
home health agencies nationwide through benchmarking based on
quality measurement scores submitted to Home Health Compare and the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services cost reports for the
year.
The Logan County Department of Public Health has provided home
health services, which include skilled nursing care, therapy and
ancillary support services, for over 36 years to those recovering at
home from illness or injury.
"This award reflects on the professional caregivers who have an
enormous commitment to quality patient care and dedication to our
mission of healing," says Betty Larson, R.N., home health
supervisor.
