Agriculture futures mostly fall on Chicago BOT

[January 09, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly dropped Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slipped 0.75 cent to $6.125 a bushel, while March corn slid 9.75 cents to $4.0675 a bushel. March oats rose 1 cent to $2.23 a bushel, but March soybeans dipped 0.5 cent to $9.895 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle dropped 2.62 cents to 83.15 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle shed 1.02 cents to 92.25 cents a pound. February lean hogs slipped 1.13 cents to 62.42 cents a pound, and February pork bellies lost 1.25 cents to 84.65 cents a pound.
