Zero is a great number if you are looking for an interest rate on a loan. But when it signifies the high temperature of the day, it isn't as appreciated. Bitter cold temperatures of 10 below zero will start the day, with a "warming" trend moving into central Illinois this afternoon.

Saturday's forecast looks for a return to near normal temperatures with a high in the upper 20s.
