Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[January 17, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 9.5 cents to $5.7825 a bushel; March corn jumped 25.75 cents to $3.91 a bushel; March oats rose 5.5 cents to $2.225 a bushel; and March soybeans advanced 25.5 cents to $10.20 a bushel.

Beef futures were higher and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.17 cent to 84.52 cents a pound; March feeder cattle inched up 0.07 cent to 94.37 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.13 cent to 59.95 cents a pound; and February pork bellies lost 0.48 cent to 83.32 cents a pound.
