[January 19, 2009]  BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Chicago Cubs finally lost patience with former prized prospect Felix Pie, trading the outfielder to the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday for left-hander Garrett Olson and minor league pitcher Henry Williamson.

RestaurantThe 23-year-old Pie hit .241 in 43 games with the Cubs last season after batting .287 in 85 games with Triple-A Iowa. He was chosen the top player in Chicago's minor league system by Baseball America in 2007 and 2006, and appeared in the Major League Futures Games for the World team from 2003 through 2005.

Pie has a .299 career batting average in 628 minor league games. He was signed by the Cubs as an undrafted free agent in 2001 and made his major league debut in April 2007.

Olson went 9-10 with a 6.65 ERA in 26 starts with Baltimore in 2008. He is 10-13 with a 6.87 ERA in 33 career starts, all with the Orioles, who drafted him between the first and second rounds of the 2005 amateur draft.

Williamson was the Orioles' 14th-round selection in the 2007 amateur draft. He went 0-1 with a 3.72 ERA last season in 20 games at the Class A level.
